WHAT IS HYPNOSIS AND HYPNOTHERAPY?

Hypnosis is a process used to reach the sub-conscious mind. Everything you have learned is stored in your subconscious mind. Because you have already learned to drive your driving skill is stored in your subconscious. As you begin your journey, you get in your car, manoeuvre on to the road into a continuous flow of traffic. Now your conscious mind is free. That is because the knowledge for driving exists in your subconscious, your conscious mind drifts off, allowing your subconscious to become more active. When your attention is needed on the road your conscious mind comes into play again, you may arrive at your destination and wonder how you got there so quickly. Whenever you do anything automatic, your conscious mind is diverted from your subconscious and you are more likely to go naturally into a hypnotic state.


MAKING HYPNOSIS WORK FOR YOU


Hypnosis can be used to improve your general functioning to make you feel better mentally or physically. Hypnosis is not in any way harmful and it is not possible for a hypnotherapist to make you act in any way that would seem uncomfortable or out of character to you. So unless you really want to cluck like a chicken it's not going to happen. Because you never lose control you can never ever be made to do anything that you do not want to do.

It is important to remember that a trance state can be terminated by you at any time. It is your choice to enter the trance state, and you can always choose to leave it.
